The following reviews are for books I have read and found inspiring, I hope you do too. Most are motivational and helpful in personal and business growth. Enjoy!

Recently I picked up a book from my bookshelves, which I have read before, but for whatever reason I didn’t connect with. This time I found it truly relevant and it inspired me to add book reviews to my website. The book is:

“Awaken the Giant Within” by Anthony Robbins

Our Summer Home

Awaken the giant within; I think this is an amazing book for restructuring your life. It is a book I first read 20 years ago, but taking it on holiday recently to our Caravan, I found it had a much stronger impact this time. They say when the student is ready the tutor will be found!

You are shown how by changing your values and beliefs you can change your thinking mode in an instant, and how to make these changes permanent. He also advocates small daily improvements to take your life from where it is today to where you would like to take it.

“Living With passion” by Peter L. Hirsch

It contains the 10 secrets that peter runs his life by:

Challenge, Belief, Your Purpose & Values, Conquering Fear,

Attitude, Focus, Commitment, Desire, Goals,  and Choices

He feels my mastering all will lead you to success.

“Thank God It’s Monday” by Charles Cameron & Suzanne Elusorr. To upload 002

It is basically about finding work, or your own business that is totally right for you and until you find it,  how to improve your feelings towards your current job. It also discusses doing paid work in order to fund setting up your own venture.

I thought this truly relevant for many starting in business. There are exercises to help you decide your true vocation.

Not only does it show you how to survive a job you dislike intensely,  but how certain strategies will help you almost enjoy it!  A friend tried the techniques and was amazed at the difference it made and the results for her. I can certainly recommend it as an interesting read with added benefits – Enjoy.

The next book I would like to introduce is:

“Live Life First Class”- by Kenneth Hurst.

This is a very thin easy to read book with a simple but powerful message. It opens with him catching a train and the porter, despite his menial position, taking delight in his job and learning With Only A Little More Effort You Can Make A Big Difference!

everything he could on every aspect of his job,  including  where on the platform particular carriages stopped.  For example where to stand for the first class carriage.

It’s about giving 10% extra in every thing you do,  to gain a much bigger return on your efforts.

Once again a little old faded book with a fantastic message.  I hope it’s still in print – Enjoy

Now two very well known books By Dale Carnegie, that I have read many times.Let Worrying Be A Thing Of The Past!

“How To Stop Worrying And Start Living”

A story of how in desperate circumstances he quit his job and started teaching public speaking.  It has techniques to stop people worrying about all the events and areas of their lives.  How he turned his life around,  and the lives of all he came in contact with.  It is full of practical suggestions.

A very well read book that most people have heard of – well worth reading!

Also by Dale Carnegie and just as well known – “How To Win Friends And Influence People”

A book I found fascinating, it gives you suggestion to change areas of your life.  It teaches you how to be more confident, how to get on with people and how to be more interested in others.  Therefore

Improve Your Relationships!

becoming a more interesting person yourself.  A very people orientated book with lots of advice on getting more out of life.  Understanding people is also important in any selling or people situation and may contribute to writing better sales copy.

Dale Carnegie has also written

” The Quick And Easy Way To Effective Public Speaking”

I haven’t read this but no doubt it is equally entertaining and helpful!

Dale Carnegie commissioned Napoleon H ill to research into the lives of 504 of the richest men to find what qualities and habits led to the amazing success.

Let It's secrets Help You Too!

The book is divided into chapters offering the messages of these great men.  Develop similar success habits to reach your goals.  Each chapter gives advice and illustrations to support the theory.  there are chapters on dealing with defeat, and overcoming fear, the importance of planning and much, much more.

It is a best- seller with more than 7,000,000 readers let it help you too!

“The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy

Tap IntoThe Power Within

Another Favorite book of mine, having reread it many times.  It is still available.  This book demonstrates how your sub-conscious mind supports you if you learn to understand the messages it sends, sometimes in the form of intuition.  Also how to go with the flow and let success happen rather than fight it.  Success can be curing ill health, reaching financial freedom or to succeed in whatever area you goals lie.

“Take time for your Life” & “Life Makeovers” by Cheryl Richardson.

She is one of America’s best-selling life coaches, and suggests ways you can relieve stress and take theChoose Your Life !pressures away from a busy life.

Her suggestions help you cope with the pressures of a tight schedule of work and bringing up a family.

how to make time for your own dreams and needs.  How to choose and prioritize and live the life you want.

Napoleon Hill’s Keys to Success

To your success

To Your Success

I have recently re-read this great book, it is great for reminding you of the qualities you should cultivate to bring about your success.  17 principles to lead you to success, the same qualities he found in the great men he studied who were hugely successful.

SEO Step by Step

SEO Step by Step

What an amazing book, I am no techie but I can understand and action the lessons.

I have just bought & read the above book from Amazon, and am working my way through it to improve my Google rankings and traffic.  The tutorials are clear with step by step instructions and screenshots where necessary.  I hope to have achieved all the improvements in a few weeks and can’t wait to see the results.

The book is inexpensive, helpful, clear, concise and even offers a trial on a tool to improve your site.  as yet I haven’t tried the tool.  I hope you find this book as helpful as I have.

* And even more amazing when I was stuck with some instructions, Caimin even emailed me with advice! Wow!

The book is full of references, helpful tips etc. Also one of the references was re Google+ Search Engine Optimization (SEO), using Google Plus – See more at: if anyone wants to learn more about Google plus take a look.
